Winecfg changes are not being reflected! (How to fix) Have you made changes to your wine configuration only to find that the next time you run a wine app, your changes are being ignored? Something obvious, like enabling a virtual desktop, but still seeing the app as a native linux (mac) app?

Well, you probably have some other wine processes in the background that are preventing your winecfg change from applying.

It's happened to me a couple of times. Hopefully I won't forget it again now that I've committed this to the the intertubes ...
